My Favourite Baker is a Gold Coast cake and cupcake delivery business offering same-day delivery across the Gold Coast and Tweed, plus click and collect from its Arundel HQ. We built its Shopify store on a customized Dawn theme around last-minute gifting: custom photo cakes with image upload, printed gift messages, balloon add-ons, and a delivery or pickup date picker in the cart, with the storefront refreshed for each seasonal launch.

The Challenge

Last-minute cake gifting that still feels personal

Most orders are gifts for the same day or the next, so choosing, personalizing, and scheduling a cake has to be quick and clear.

Our Approach

A gifting store built for speed and personal touches

We built the store on a customized Dawn theme and shaped the product page and cart around personalizing and scheduling a cake in a few taps.

Customized Dawn Theme
Custom sections for the delivery zone checker, a press feature, a client logo bar, and a promo box, with the theme refreshed for each seasonal launch.
Visual Product Options
Size tiles with serving counts, flavour selectors, gluten-free and oozing-centre options, and Afterpay pricing on every product.
Photo Cakes & Gift Messages
Image upload for custom photo cakes and cupcakes, plus an optional gift message printed on a sticker on the box.
Delivery & Click and Collect Dates
A cart step where customers choose delivery or click and collect and pick a date from a calendar, powered by an identixweb delivery date app and saved on the order.
Add-On Extras
Helium balloon and topper add-ons on product pages, matched to each product through product tags.
